Why Don’t I See My Matches in the Main Feed?

If you’re expecting to see new matches but don’t see them in your dashboard or profile views, don’t worry, most likely, the match is already available… just in a different place.

Where to Look First

All match suggestions appear inside the Pairings tab on each person’s profile. We don’t have a single “feed” that shows every new match, instead, matches are grouped by person to keep things organized.

How to Check for Matches

  1. Go to the My People page

  2. Click on the person you’re curious about

  3. Navigate to the Pairings tab

  4. Use the filters to check:

    1. All pairings

    2. Other users

    3. Library of Congress

    4. Uncertain or Declined (if previously reviewed)

If the system has a match for that person, you’ll find it there.

Why We Don’t Use a Global Match Feed

The person-level view helps:

  • Prevent overwhelm when you upload lots of photos

  • Keep matches tied to the profiles you’ve created

  • Let you control review speed and focus

This structure also reduces the chance of error, especially in cases with lookalikes or large families.
